I’ve said this many times:
Every major injury I’ve seen in gymnastics has a nutritional component to it.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Our gymnasts need to know that what they put into their bodies has a direct effect on what outcome the will have through gymnastics.
The easiest way to boost performance in gymnastics is to eat right.
Eat from the rainbow, eat the right food at the right time, and then watch success come.
So what happens when you have great nutrition? Here’s a couple of the great things that happen:
- Build amazing strength
- Get laser like focus
- Increase performance
- Have a great attitude
And parents, if you didn’t see that last one, let me re-state it:
Your gymnast’s attitude is directly related to what they put into their bodies!
Great intake produces great outcomes.

What do I mean by this? Failure to plan is a plan to fail. It is critical that you plan your gymnasts nutrition in order for them to succeed. You need to wake up in the morning and know exactly what you’ll eat to be successful.
