The Frontline Generation

Welcome back to the Gymnast Care Podcast! Today we sit down with Marjorie K. Eastman, author of the book, The Frontline Generation.

Why in the world would you have Marjorie on your podcast…you might say. Well, Marjorie just happened to be my boss while I was deployed to Afghanistan, and we were able to do a very special mission together that made a very big impact on both of our lives.

Marjorie’s book is a compilation of stories that she put together as a gift for her son when he grows up. Her son was diagnosed with cancer in the first year of his life and while she sat by him in the hospital, she told the┬ástories on paper of those that served with her during her time in the military so that one day, when her son was able, he would be able to read about those people she found that impacted her life in some way.

She wrote about those that served, even though they did not have to.

I hope you get to take the time to listen to this amazing podcast with my great friend, to not only see a different side of me, but to also learn about service to those around us.
