Heel Pain and Sever’s Disease
Heel pain can be devastating for young gymnasts. Heel pain in young gymnasts is called Sever’s disease. Sever’s disease is extremely painful because it affects the bone in the heel. The heel then becomes inflamed and keeps your athlete from doing the sport they love.
At Gymnast Care, we’ve created an easy to use protocol optimizing your gymnasts return to the gym with full function and without pain. The protocol can be found in the Gymnast Care Book on Injuries.
Here’s what one of our gym moms had to say about the heel pain protocol:
Your protocol for treating Sever’s disease has been a miracle for our one daughter. I am so very thankful!! ~ Ashley
Many ankle injuries become chronic conditions because the injury was never properly rehabbed.
It’s time to start taking control of your gymnast’s injuries, and get them the care they need to be protected. The Book on Injuries walks you through from the moment of injury, to returning your athlete to the gym faster, stronger, and healthier. Their ankle will be protected and they will be a better gymnast after our ankle protocol than before they were injured.
